Ebay Seller: Savebase

I purchased one of the classic TA8435 5 axis driver boards that normally come from china etc through the seller Savebase one ebay...

But this seller is apparently in the UK! He had 9 available on the auction...

Got an email this morning:

Due to short of stock at local, we had to send your order from our dispatch center located in China

Just to warn people that this seller is probably not based in the UK. I hate it when sellers do this and it is the most annoying thing on ebay imo!

Feedback when I get the item....

If you read his feedback it says Hong Kong based.

By association, there was a piece on Breakfast TV this morning talking about UK websites that are actually based in China.. it seems that anyone can register a .co.uk domain without a UK address.

I wonder how many 'UK' sellers in eBay are really outside the UK
