  1. I wandered round my local car boot sale this morning and came across a number of stall selling tools. I could of picked up the following:

A Makita cut-off/mitre saw 1600w for £45 (retails new £190). Looked a bit untidy but the pull-down bearing was solid and the motor ran OK. I might go back with the car next weekend and get this, he had 3 available.

A Clarke 12speed bench drill, £35, looked tidy enough

    A small Hitachi bandsaw, £30

    A 4" milling vice, £25

Has any one equipped their workshop from car boot sales, and what was the best bargain yet?

Oh, my prize today was a crimping tool for insulated connectors... retails in Maplin for £19.95, wanted £5, haggled it down to £1.50 so I was chuffed...

No but I am fairly confident that a few boot fairs have equipped themselves with tools from my van.
