    Hi all,

I'm a product design engineer and I'm looking for a CNC alternative to cast iron parts (wood-burning stove doors in this case) which currently can take months to deliver.

The problem is some of our cast iron parts are large - around 550 x 550 x 60mm.

Does anyone know of a company who might be able to process a small batch (or even a single run) of such large mild steel prototypes?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jono

If you post a request in the FREELANCE JOBS & REQUESTS section there might be someone with a machine capable of fulfilling your requirements.

    Hi all,
I can go to this link, but alas I can't respond because I do not have the credentials to be able to do so. Is this a standard thing or a glitch.
    Now To the RFQ.
Jono, some more info like the units of the number quoted, maybe a drawing, stl or something to quote on.
Does the proto type have to be made of steel? Are you after a mold? or a finished item? can it be cast alu or 3d printed etc
At this stage I will let you know , I am in Australia.
    Regards
    Paul

You have to respond via a PM, If you click on the name a box should pop up with the private message function.
