Typically my vfd decided to blow today just as I started a job. it was sitting there fine then as I turned the spindle on it reached 18000, waiting for mach to start moving and then, flash from vfd and tripped the circuit breaker. Great!!!

I have opened the vfd up and can only find one component damaged, couldn't attach pics so added link to my onedrive to view pics. Not sure what this is or whether it can be repaired or shall I just get a new vfd. Opinions please.

I just tried to upload your pictures to this thread in Internet Explorer and in Chrome and the upload failed both times. They were ~ 5Mb so maybe that is the problem?

So I then tried one of my pictures and seems to work (~1.5 Mb):

Back to the VFD. If Jonathan reads this he may offer help but otherwise for ~£100 I'd just buy another one.
