Hello i m new in this forum. sorry if the post is misplaced.
I am finishing my 5 axis cnc design and need a little help with the electronics selection.
The cnc i m working on has 2 steppers for the x axis. one for y. one for z. one for a and one for b.
i am currently choosing the steppers drivers and breakboard and have 2 main questions:

#1 am i needing a 6 axis breakboard and then setup 2 outputs as x drive? or i should wire two steppers to the same x output?

#2 could i have any problems using different steppers for different axis? ex: nema 24 for a and nema 34 for b. (always using corrent driver for each stepper

    Thanks a lot

Hi agus. Welcome to the forum. It would help if you could post a picture of your machine and what you will be doing with the 5 different axis. Also what software are you going to drive them with? Are the 6 motors going to be used at the same time? If this is a gantry type machine you have to think about slaving and homing to keep it square etc.
