Has anyone else been thinking about ways we can use machine learning/AI to improve our cnc machines.

The one that sticks out for me is tool pathing in particular varying the speed of the tool in both rpms and travel speed based on knowledge the AI has on the dynamics of the machine and the tightness of the radius or turn it needs to make. Basically a smarter look ahead system.

It may also be possible to train a model to detect problems with the current job run for example missed steps or tool breakages or dulling cutting edges?

I have been watching this youtube series on machine learning which talking about how AI might work in the future.

Generative modelling is also pretty exciting in terms of design of the actual structures like a gantry.

Haven't thought of ways for machine learning/AI to improve CNC machines, but technology's advancement, at this rate, would definitely help that come to light!
