    Hi Guys

    Selling my CNC with the computer that has my mach3 licnence. I want to put my licence on my next machine I guess I need to copy something from mach to save but I dont know.

    Any help much appreciated.

    licence.dat, Mach3lic.dat or similar in your mach3 folder in C: needs copying.
    If you back up your whole Mach3 folder you will have your license file.
    You think that's too expensive? You're not a Model Engineer are you? :D

    mine is called Mach1Lic.dat

    Screenshot all your settings.
    What they tell you transfers everything does not always ;-)

    This is the best way to do it because then if you have any custom macro's or screens ie: probing etc they are saved as well.

    I assume you aren't selling your old PC with your license on it, what with Mach3 licenses not being transferrable ;-)

    it may be worth making a note of which version of Mach3 you have on your old PC
    just in case you have a problem with the latest version when you install Mach 3 on your new PC
