So I have managed to fill a 50L bin of chips. And I have a vacuum full of more chips.

Need ideas for long term storage so I can then transport the lot to scrap metal and get a few quid for it all.

Has to have locking top on it so the chips don't fly out of the thing.

Was thinking of going to B&Q and getting one of their big black storage tubs with handles and wheels.

    Thoughts?

A bit of lateral thinking... You need a FORGE!

Unless you take a skip full then won't be worth the petrol. Most metal merchants won't take chips or if they do they give next nothing for them because by time they smelt them there's nothing left.

The local scrap guys picked up 4 x100l bins and a fairly heavy bag of offcuts from me on Friday and I got £21.

A great way to spend more in fuel than you can get for weighing in the resulting ingots!
You think that's too expensive? You're not a Model Engineer are you? :D

Only if you cast something you want, not if you just use it as an exercise in lightening your wallet :D

Would not cost anything if we use food for fuel...
