Just had an email through about a 24v version of this, may be better for those running a 24v setup.

Well that is very confusing! Is it a variable frequency generator to drive a stepper motor (it says that a separate drive is needed) or a PWM controller? There's a meaty device with a heatsink but maybe that's just a regulator as it says that you can supply from 160 V.

The guy in the video likes living dangerously - drilling holes in an ali block holding the rough cut edges in his fingers! And I don't know if it's the effect of the camera, the playback or what but at low speed the stepper seems to be very jerky.

Either, it depends on the jumper setting.
