Been a while since I listed posted a quick CNC project and this one deals with a 1st world problem of what to do with all those remotes and keyboards needed in a media centered lounge setup:

    Hi and thanks,

I used some offcuts of European Oak I have left over from a bathroom renovation, so was all "free" scrap turned into something useful.

Nice one. Trying to get hold of some stock for some signs im wanting to make but finding it hard. Keeping my eye out for old oak furniture.

I hear you on that one.

You'd think hardwood in the UK was rarer than gold and decent figured woods are even worse e.g. flamed maple in anything other than veneer thicknesses

I think the only way to do hardwood economically is by buying the biggest pieces you can, either from reclaim or beams and then cutting that on a decent sized bandsaw, which will be my next workshop purchase I think.
