Hi, I use a ball screw, but if I decided to use a rack pinion system now.

    Two accurate reasons
    - Long spherical screws will easily cause resonance problems
    - Step motors don't like fast turns. The ball screw 1 rev is only 5mm, but the GREAT TORQUE (1605 screws)

if you use an servo motor I would take a ball screw.

    sorry for my english
