    Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum so thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself. I am an aerospace engineering student in the final phase of my study at the TU Delft (Netherlands). For severals years i have been making cnc machines. I also have a webshop http://www.damencnc.com. Anyway most of my week is filled with cnc projects so can help out with advice. I am doing my internship at the moment. I am making a surfboard shaping machine 3 x 1 x0,38 meters range.

    Hi Kevin,

New to the blog and saw your intro and have the same interest in terms of shaping boards. Looking to machine out of styrofoam a kitesurf board dimensions 136cms x 45cms x 5cms. Have designed the board on BoardCAD (cool software www.boardcad.org); you should check it out. Its an open software and can export files to a number of formats. Does outlines, rocker, concaves, vees, double concaves, etc.

I am looking to shape the board and make the project a reasonable price but most companies would charge for the machining the price of a finished board (Euro300). Which does not make sense. Still excited about being able to ride my own design. Would you be interested in shaping this board? I would obviously cover cost of materials.

    Cheers,

    Martin
