I am using a "Quick Step" Milling Unit as a router on my CNC. The unit is getting very hot and I wondered if anyone would know about lubrication in the gearbox. I have no manual of any kind.
If anyone has knowledge of these units, I would be most grateful for any advice.

No Lee. Other than a pamphlet that suggests the type of oil. I have introduced some hypoid oil to it and it is much improved, but still quite warm after a long session.
But since I should only use it for dovetailing and finger joints. Believe it will serve quite well.

Might be worth adding some MolySlip additive.
You think that's too expensive? You're not a Model Engineer are you? :D
