Version 1.211 should be fine with the AXBB but there's no harm in an updated version I guess.

Can you post a screenshot of the device connection utility showing your AXBB connected, one of the list you get when you start up, and one of the UCCNC root directory in file explorer?

Have you checked the UCCNC folder permissions and the licence file permissions to ensure its accessable? The licence file should be in the same folder as the UCCNC executable.
Sorry, I meant v 1.2111.....sticky key - latest official release. What do you mean by the device connection utility please? Windoze keeps on changing the names for evvverything and I can't keep up :-( I'll check the permissions tomorrow night, but have to go to bonny Scotland on business tomorrow :-)

Well, I thought I'd give it one more try today and first thing it says is "downloading firmware" and now it's working, yippee! Thanks for all your help.

Now on to debugging all the electrics!

I had a similar problem which just turned out to be that I had the wrong license file which Balazs spotted and rectified for me straight away. Great service on a Sunday as well.
    Cheers

Aye, aftersales service from CNCdrive is comfortingly good.
