Is there anyone on here building a small machine (working area approx. 300 x 200 x 200) that will tackle the less tough steels such as EN 1A, EN3 also cast iron, brass etc.?

I converted a SX2.7L mill to CNC - that has broadly those dimensions (actually, a bit shy on the Y - around 180mm). Why?

Many thanks for the swift reply Doddy, The dimensions were plucked out of the air as covering the sort of component sizes that I might want to create.
I should mention that I have little knowledge of cnc but am learning!

I'm currently designing a small machine aimed at cutting harder materials to a high standard but nothing to show yet. When I've built the prototype I'll show it and it will be for sale.
