    Hi all, new here.
I am looking around on the bay and TBH I am unsure who the best seller is to purchase my spindle from.
I want to get the 2.2kW air cooled spindle as it has the ER20 collet and not the ER11 like the 1.5kW.
Also, I would rather go air cooled as its a little simpler setup OR would you all truly recommend a water cooled setup as I am not 100% against the idea if it really is much better?.
    Sorry for all the questions.
    Thanks in advance :)

Water cooled is a lot quieter and the setup isn't particularly difficult (to be honest, though not recommended, short runs can be done without cooling). Are you just looking for a spindle or an inverter package as well? (to give you the three phase supply required by the spindle and the variable speed control). I'm guessing the latter - in which case the Huanyang brand is highly respected. To some extent the supply is subject to luck - I have heard reports of people buying a spindle believing it to be a 4 bearing model and on examination finding it otherwise (can't recall if 2 or 3 bearing).

Though I've never dealt with them knowingly, BST Automation on Aliexpress have a very good reputation.

    Thank you for the reply.

Hmmm yep found them on there they state 4 bearing as well... only issue now is they want £125 for shipping and the item is £249 so £375.

Welcome to the forum. The majority of people on here use the 2.2Kw W.C. spindle as they are much quieter and as they are water cooled if you need to they can be run slower. The air cooled ones have a fan that slows down with the spindle and thus less air.

You don't need a lot of water to keep them cooled in my case I use 1 ltr with a very small radiator 130mm sq. with a 120mm fan attached.

5 ltrs without a fan is fine.

Hi also thank you for the reply :).

Yeah water cooled does appear to be the way to go it seems so I am sold :).
Just need to find who to get one from now LOL.

As stated above by Doddy BST Automation seem good but there charging a lot for delivery I assume this also includes import fees.
I see the Ebay there a lot cheaper but not sure if ya will get 4 bearings ETC.
Though I am unsure how that works with import fees will it get stuck at boarder untill I pay the fees?.

They have these on Amazon as well but thats the same issue 4 bearings and import fees?

    Thanks again :)

You have to be careful with the inverter see this:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-2KW-Wat...AAAOSw5VFWOwrm

scroll down to the bottom and it shows you the good and bad type.

BST will not pay the import charges.

    Welcome to the forum.

I bought my Huan Yang spindle and the matching inverter as a bundle from Huan Yang's own shop HuanYang Drive on AliExpress. It arrived here in remote Western Australia very quickly. Seemed a bit of a no-brainer to go direct to the manufacturer though BST has an excellent reputation. Buying the spindle and VFD as a set makes sure you get the matching components.

    Hi,

I have available a 2.2Kw spindle, mount, ER20 collet set, Inverter and a water cooling kit (Radiator, fan and pump (both 24v) and header tank). I bought them about 5 years ago and they are still unused and boxed.

Due to a health based, lifestyle change I will never use them and so they are for sale as a bundle.

I also have a CSlabs IP/S boxed unused and various other bundles of steel, leadscrews, rails, power supplies, steppers and drivers as well as other electronics which will be for sale soon.

I am in South Notts. PM me a bid if you are interested.

    Cheers,

    Rob
