Since having the machine, I've had a few issues, mostly now overcome thankfully!
Something I did NOT have an issue with was the toolchanger...
I had full funtionality, but the last couple of days has seen this go 'bad' and the drawbar doesnt seem to be unclamping when the atc raises the tool into the spindle and the tool wont mount into the spindle.

I was playing ('learning'!) all the functions previously, and this may coincide with me hitting M24/M25 drawbar clamp/unclamp in MDI... Wondering if doing this disturbed or over extended something that was previously ok when auto toolchanging… somehow?!

Looking in the main cabinet, the ESR is engaged. as well as another relay (unmarked) lower in the cabinet. Any relationship?

I've got a small air leak from the regulator I'm got to fix, but that's been there all along...

Was just getting things close to sorted, even working our Fusion360 for both CAD and CAM, so I'm gutted I've not got another problem with the machine!!
    Any help gratefully received!!

First check would be to see if the draw bar release cylinder is getting air. Just take the pipe off, and see if you get air out it when you activate the drawbar.

    Thanks m_c!
Out of interest, I have two regulators on the back of the cabinet; the upper one is connected and has a trap and lubricator fitted. The lower one is blanked off and doesn’t look to have ever been used?
Any ideas on if it should be?
The toolchanger/drawbar was working before, so the regulators aren’t causing this new issue, but I was wondering what the lower one is for?
Separately, my door has the pneumatic cylinder attached and it’s constantly under air pressure (when machine is connected to air) I assumed this should only be the case when it’s running?
I have to disconnect airline to open door!
Any ideas on this one too?

You've got a fancy machine, if you have the air powered enclosure!

The door should be controlled via another solenoid.
And having just had a quick look through the wiring diagrams, there should be GOS (Guard Open Solenoid) and GCS (Guard Close Solenoid), controlled by a GOR and GCR relays.

I'm wondering if your machine has also had the pneumatic vice option fitted, as a quick look at a manual shows it should have it's own regulator below the main input regulator.
Is there a VOS (Vice Open Solenoid) , and corresponding VOR relay fitted?

I'm guessing there are additional M-codes to control those, but I've got no idea what they'll be, although there may be additional configuration options that need set before you get the functionality.

A fancy paper weight at the minute unfortunately 🤣🤣🤣!

Yes! I’ve got the VOR, as well as DCR & DOR (door closed/open relays?)
Ah! This may also explain something else…
To the right hand side of the column, is what looks like a push fit air fitting, maybe 5or6mm from memory.
Thinking now this could be the air supply for the vice?

Should all of the relays have the LED illuminated when the machine is under power?
    Or just when commanded?

Hoping to strip the case of the head over the next couple days, to try and identify the drawbar issue…

The Vice used an air over oil actuator/intensifier bolted to the back of the machine, as the vice would have been oil actuated, so the couple would have likely been for oil.

Not all relays should be powered.
Things like the DCR/DOR should only have one of the two active at any given time.
