    Hello All

I there any way of testing a chinese switching power supply to see if it has short circuit protection , other than shorting it and see if the blue smoke appears ?
    Cheers

Shorting it out is a very crude way.
More scientific way would be to gradually increase the load, and see if/when it shutdown, and how it recovers.
