    At the risk of being expelled (quite rightly perhaps!) and suitably shot down in flames, banished, forever tarred and feathered........

    How outlandish and totally unacceptable would it be to convert a pretty chunky CNC Inspection machine into a light weight mill? hi speed spindle and small cutters?

    Ok, ok - start thrashing me now!

    What's outlandish and totally unacceptable is that you haven't included any pictures!
    An optimist says the glass is half full, a pessimist says the glass is half empty, an engineer says you're using the wrong sized glass.

    I'm normally good at finding things on t'Interweb, but this time I have drawn a blank. Ferranti do a model 52. Is that the one?

    Thanks for that. The big question is what's hiding behind the bellows and what sort of load is it designed to withstand? Not much I would assume.
