screenshot attached guys, 500mb is the max file size...

...note the maximum width and/or height for images though: 2048 x 1536 pixels.

"Insert Inline" adds images to a post in the way your looking for...bottom right of the popup window.

I think I have got there AT LAST.
I had to resize my pics to less that 500kB
Then select the "insert image "icon in the header which gives you a popup which you can then select and upload your image
Then go to "manage uploads" (only available if I "go advanced")
That gives a further window in which you can select and tick your required pic , drag it into the uploads part of the window
and only then you can "insert inline "

It's more likely the width and height limitation that you fell foul to.

Easiest way for resizing if you're using Windows, is to use Paint. It's resize option lets you select either percentage or pixels.

I use paint to resize , and with pics under 500kB I have managed to include in thread so I think it was more to do with procedure than size .
A Sticky topic explaining how to do it would help.
Not exactly intuitive in this forum software ICW othere forums I visit

I am still struggling with this .
Pics seem to disappear from text for no reason then reappear in the attachment block . This can make nonsense of the text.
Can someone write (in words of one syllable) a procedure for including a pic in the text.

I have to say that I have no difficulty with this on other sites but the attachment manager here makes hard work in comparison with other platforms

    My way of doing it:
First write your text what you want to say.

to insert image press enter twice to start new line. look for icon Insert image above press "Chose file" from computer find the folder you have the image in select it, then click on Upload file (files) Click image for larger version.
