Please go easy, but I have some stupid questions. Planning out my large build. As I said in previous post, I am making a sliding panel saw first, with the plan to convert to a cnc. Trying to keep costs down also.

1. I assume there is no issue using different diameter ballscrews (possibly different lead size) on different axis? Its a physical size thing but just wanted to confirm in case of issue down the line.

2. When buying ballscrews, the issue of fixed and floating sides. To just get 'proper' fixed and floated nut blocks works out at about 500 Euro (2 x 3m 32mm ballscrews + Y axis ballscrew). I realise they are important for axial loads/critical speed etc., But just for a DIY shed build, is there a cheaper option (Like a pillow block bearing with some home machining?)

Find Tuli-shop.com fairly reasonably for ballscrews. Is there some favourite spots you experts use for parts? Need a ballscrew 32mm x 3.4m long.

Thanks
