    Hi Guys,

I'm totally new to cnc and have bought one of the Chinese 3018 models to have a play with. Getting some good results and some less so but overall impressed with what these small machines can do. I'm limited to a small space at the moment but have plans to renovate an outbuilding to be a workshop so I may have the opportunity for a bigger machine in the future.

At the moment I'm using Easel for designs which is nice and easy and trying to learn FreeCAD but is a steep learning curve and I'm struggling.

    Cheers all

I understand your battle with Freecad, but it is worth persevering and you will be amazed at the things it will do.A little time watching the excellent videos by Joko Engineering and sliptonic on youtube may help you with the software.
