just a short introduction as a new member of this forum. my name is Gerhard and I'm happy to join this forum to share my exerience sofar in building and using CNC lathes.

With an electronic engineering background and interest in model air planes it became clear that sooner or later I would use cnc milling to produce my own modell air planes. On my 50th birthday I started to order a kit of a small affordable CNC lathe from Zoltar CNC in the Netherlands. Within 2 months the kit had changed in a fully functional machine ready to use. The working area has the size of 420 x 320 mm. The building of the machine was fun! It is a stainless steel was completely glued with locktite

Today I'm working on a larger machine, again Zoltar provided the stainless steel parts and the alluminium profiles and other stuff is bought locally or via Aliexpress.
this one is larger with a working area of 850 x 430 mm.

I'm ready to share my experience of the last 8 years on cnc milling (CNCUSB), foam cutting (GMFC/Profili/CNCUSB) and electronics.
