Instead of putting tubes (hoses) to all carriages and having central lubing system, I was thinking that since I will not use machine every day or even every week for that sake that I just grease the carriages once in a while. LinuxCNC can tell how far the machine has traveled and can grease with that info.
Hiwin recommends oil at higher speeds but grease goes a long way according to Hiwin datasheet.
    Any pros and cons?

Yes, it will be perfectly fine, even if used every day. Just clean the rails every few days and put a few drops of oil on the rails and run up and down. Depending on usage then grease it every few months. Mostly just use common sense and if they seem a little dry give them some grease.!
-use common sense, if you lack it, there is no software to help that.
