    G'day All,
Tim from Australia I'm new around here with lots to learn, never played with CNC. I'm a Carpenter/joiner by trade with a enough knowledge in metalwork to be dangerous. Currently designing a 3axis router for aluminium and hopefully light steel work. Ill post in the build forum to pick your brains.

look forward to learning from you all.
    Tim.

    Welcome to the forum Tim.
First time I've heard of Warrimoo, but see you're up in the Blue Mountains, yet within reach of (relatively) civilised Sydney and replacement parts!

And just a hop, skip and a jump from (very) civilised Tasmania!

    Welcome to the forum Tim.

If you really want to mill steel\Aluminum you really want to make it heavy & rigid ;) .

You'd be surprised at the forces generated.

    Anyway welcome.

What control system are you thinking of using ?
