Hi, my name is Daniel. I'm 27 years old from Portugal.
I started to work as a cnc lathe operator in 2019 and since then i always wanted to have my own litle cnc.
This year i started to build a basic mini cnc lathe from scratch and i need some help figuring things out, so I decided to join the forum.
Later I will make a post about the lathe I'm building.

    Cheers, Daniel.

Welcome! I haven't built a lathe from scratch but have converted a Myford S7.

You might find this thread interesting.

Thanks you for all the replays and I am very sorry form the very late response.
I´ve had a lot to do last year and I still do, that meant the cnc lathe has been a very slow build but some work was done and it made its first chips about 2 weeks ago.

It's still very rough and unfinished, but it kinda works, and I am very happy with it.

Here's some pic's of the part it made while I was testing, also heres are links to YouTube if you want to see some videos of the lathe working.

I promise I will make a thread for the build with all the details when I finish the lathe.

    John.
Just a heads up JohnHaine, that this link unfortunately no longer works. Do you perhaps have different link for it?

    Cheers, Andy
