    Hi all

I am intending to do a split-nut mod to reduce backlash on my Sieg X2 using the original acme leadscrews. I was wondering where is a good place to buy replacement nuts if it does not turn out as expected? The mill was bought second hand on eBay some years ago. Thanks for any pointers.

  2. I stripped my X3 down, and i think i still have the screws and nuts still.
Im not sure if they are the same, but if they are you can have the bits.

Try arc-euro as they have some spares.

Wow, thanks for the very generous offer, Gary! Wish I could make use of it but sadly it seems the X3 uses a different shaped nut

Will check with Arc euro, but otherwise I will just have to be extra careful with the hacksawing. :naughty:
