    Hi William and welcome to the site. We always like to have members who know 'how to engineer it' rather than 'suck it and see', you will find we have an interesting number of threads on calculating deflections due to loads or torsional stresses and developing spreadsheets to make things easy for non-engineers to use. We hope you will contribute to these as well as garner information for your own build.
