Hi all, thanks for the invite to join forum!
I did an apprenticeship in tool jig and die making a few years ago prior to moving to England and my experience with machining is all manual, based on vertical and horizontal machines along with a few other things such as surface grinding, horizontal shapers and radial arm drilling machines. I'm currently working as a maintenance technician (mechanical) on an automated distribution system and thought I'd make use of my experience and give CNC a go at home!

I'm in the process of cnc'ing a sieg x1 micro mill with a kit from motion control products and so far I'm making fairly good progress. I look forward to chatting with other members and sharing info!

The forum looks good, best of luck going forward!
