Hello From San Diego

I'm Bill and I live in sunny San Diego. I currently have no CNC machines but I do have a Clausing 8520 vertical mill, Southbend 9A lathe and a Rotex RM1 horizontal mill. I am interested in coupling a stepper motor to my dividing head as an exercise in machine control and with the hope of making gears. I learned of this site through a post on the Home Shop Machinist site where I have been a member for years. I don't have a high post count as work keeps me busy but I try to stay current.

In my day job I work as an engineering techician for a large local telecom company.
