Greetings from Tunbridge Wells!
I am interested in small i/c engines, mainly scale models of stationary engines (not model aircraft types) and would like to try constructing one using a cnc lathe. Some of the Engineers Emporium kits look very tempting particularly the Little Wonder. I would also like to try building a working miniature magneto which I'm sure is possible using modern magnets and electronics.

Hi Rich and welcome to the site. Yes some of the high densiy ceramic or rare earth magnets should make a very efficient small magneto with some care...
