    Hi All,

Several years ago i comtemplated building a cnc machine. After a bit of budgeting i got scared and gave up the idea.

However now things are different. For one my making things skills has improved.

My reasons for wanting to build a CNC machine are.

    1. Making moulds / masters for casting.
    2. Creating PCBs
    3. The ability to create multiple pieces of a high standard and generally raise my standards.
    4. To improve my electronics (which suffered when i tried and failed degree level electronics).
    5. To understand computer control of systems.
    6. I love tinkering about with stuff!

I'm based in Sussex. I have a full time office job so I'll be making this in my spare time.

I've already been looking at the forum for a while to gather a bit of background knowledge.

I have come up with an idea for my machine which i will describe in the appropriate forum.

I look forward to participating in this community.

PS:- I can't edit my profile and i'm not sure how to pm an admin. Any ideas?
