Hi, ive scraped my old idea and have now got a cnc bridgeport boss, which i have scraped the old system to replace with a modern one. i want to use the orginal steppers, but dont know if its worth having high voltage drivers or not?

    Thanks

It may not be cost effective to keep the steppers as servos are reasonably priced nowadays.

Not to mention the lack of speed with steppers to avoid losing steps/position.
