Six wires, oh dear...that means you're either running in Unipolar or Bipolar with only half the coils neither of which is an attractive option.

What are you intending to use them for?

AFAIK the NEMA standard for motors only standardizes the sizes of the mountings i.e. all 23s are the same all 34s etc.. I'm pretty certain there is no standardization of wire colours. Here's a killer example that makes it even worse than you might at first think. The M60STH88 (a replacement for) and the FL60STH86 have the same colour wires and they all refer to the same "coil ends" if you see what I mean - BUT the STARTS of the coils are different! Bit me right in the *ss that one!

Yes I've had many different colours of wires on steppers. You often find they're quite logical colours - i.e. the similar ones go together.

    size 23 = 2.3"
    size 34 = 3.4"
    etc

turned the board down to 3a and now a lot better so far , is there a better way of wireing the moters?

I was but aparently there is no standard colour code for the wires got the nema 23 size ones infront of me and they have 6 wires
these are BL,G,R,B conected to the board A+,A-,B+,B- white and yellow not used at all
I can follow a wireing diagram but as to the indeph tecnical stuff with electirkery I am a bit fooked
Jonathan gave me the ides to turn the power down on the controler board which has worked
they have been running the roadrunner for 2 hours and only luke warm now
as for bipolar ECT just dont know as the wireing crapagram dont actualy say which is which
    Any help M8 ?
