Thread: HSK Tooling

Toying with the idea to invest in HSK tooling system for my new CNC and linking to my Spindle Moulder. A few questions with users of this tooling was it worth the change over.

What are you going to do change the spindle to convert to HSK

No, sorry the spindle is already HSK, CNC operated. I can see the advantages and went through this with previous tool sharing on my moulder and spindle using top hat washers.

But with replacement tips and better finish along with hogging/roughing/finishing options with more robust tools for the Router I can see tool sharing a better way to go on long term. But is expensive to change in short term.

I had the same issue with the quick change for my Powermat, buying spindles for all my tooling.

Forget this option my Spindle is not same as Router tool body.
