I have a pretty old Dynamite, from which I have discarded most of the electronics, and tried to fit Rhonmac drivers to my 4 pole steppers. They did not like it, and I am now fitting Nema23 motors with latest Rhonmac control box.
I have also just bought a Denford Orac lathe which I also intend to strip out the electronics from - but I can't get the rack of boards etc out. Short of using a hammer, does anyone know the secret? - its a bit like a ship in a bottle!
Hi Hubert and welcome, I hope im not speaking out of turn but i think one of the people you could ask about this one is i2i he is a very helpfull chap and i know he does his fair share of conversions..
Good luck and sorry i cannot be of more help.

I'm told that the lathe more or less hinges at the back, so supporting the bed, undoing the front and flopping it over the back seems to be the way. No details, as I haven't actually done it, but I'm assured that's the way to go.
