Thread: small pen lathe

one of my first jobs is to make a small pen lathe with a RC car motor
as I've just found a motor in the attic with belts and gears
has any one else made a similar lathe with a high speed motor ??
I only want it to spin the stock fast so I can sand and polish it, as the CNC will be shaping the pen
