Okay I took a punt on a CNC router (want to use this & a RepRap 3D printer to teach my son something other than I.T they force feed them at school).

It's DIY, but thought it might be a common build?

No idea on the controller either! :whistling:

The drivers look like 'Pacific' maybe?, two relays on the bob? You will need to check output of the PS to find out what voltage the steppers are running at? maybe 1.4 to 2 amp steppers? can not say without a few more pics?

Certainly looks like a good place to get into cnc routing though so good start i would say :-)

Finally got some time to have a crack with this router.

Loaded Mach3 demo onto a PC and managed to get it on the right port etc, I can trigger test the end-stops etc, ran into a problem with the reset switch always on but found an active E-stop trigger so got that disabled.

All I wanted to do is 'JOG' the motors but with a sample code in I had a few twitches from the bed but that was all.

How do I know what pins are what on this as it has not instructions etc?

Pull the bob and a stepper driver, take some close up pics so that we can try and identify them. There must be something there to give some clues?

Really appreciate the help, had an offer to sort this out on Sunday with a member if I was totally stuck

    A bit of progress today....

I set the motor Tuning 'pulses/steps' to 5 and got a stepper to nudge, wrong axis and only went in 1 direction whatever of the up/down cursors were pressed, but it moved! (Click on the photo)

    What is this?

As for the BOB, I've taken some pics as well as the output screen on Mach3, but I'm sooooo green with this it's unreal
