Well I've done it Yes I've cut my first aluminium on my CNC Machine and it feels good NO tool breakages and I think a descent chip-load to start with :rofl::rofl::rofl: I only cut .75mm a pass but it's a start the machine ran at around 1650 and a spindle speed of 1300 tool size 4mm endmill. I only made one mistake and that was at the start second tool change I forgot to raise the spindle up after screwing the work down but I am still quite new But I don't do this often in fact it's the first time I've left the spindle to low I will post a Video and Images later today as I have a friend coming around to fix his car

These brackets are intended for my X-Axis limit switches with adjustment

    http://youtu.be/vLhKupoQwWg

for some reason I didn't video the V-carve shamfer on the brackets O'well you can see the finish and I'm quite chuffed to bits with my self.

I am always open to comments GOOD OR BAD as this is the only way to learn

in all with three tool changes and stopping to screw it down (30 min a lot of holes as well)

    Looks good james. .

Tip: Get your self a small compressor and blow the chips away so they don't get re-cut, much better finish and far easier on the cutter. . . . OR . . . Better still do like I've just done and mount the machine vertical on the wall.:whistling:

Jazz you get paid for working on friends cars ?

O'bugger that's why there's a long line of cars out side my door wanting work done on them

well after I've finish patting myself on the back I have a question about the cutting I've done

this is only apply's to the x-axis cut. I seam to have a ribbing affect on the cut line and this is constant through out the job.

Any Ideas on what has happened

I will post a image later
