    Heya all

Ive been looking into cnc for over 2 years and a few weeks ago I finally decided to go ahead. I wanted something rigid and that I would not have to completley build as my woodworking is not up to scratch.

I ordered a stock Taig/Peatol Vertical mill, plus cnc conversion kit (mounts etc) plus an ER-16 spindle, have also ordered three 420oz/in steppers, 3 4.2A drivers, 2 psu's and a breakout board. Have also ordered some end mills, collets etc for the er-16.

The only thing that annoys me at all is that the peatol mill come with an italian motor that only does 4000rpm which looks like it will cause some problems, but I did find some nice 50,000rpm spindles + motor but a bit pricey.

I have a 33000 rpm dremmel here so may try making a mount out of aluminum.

Well it now looks like im going for a 800W Kress instead, much more powerful, less play and easier to mount. Just waiting for lester Caine to get the mounts in stock :)

Also now have my home switches plus mounts on their way from LLC

    :)

Well ive not been doing cnc long, and i think trying to make an accurate dovetail 2" long may be jumping in at the deep end
