Not quite CNC related but does anyone know if there is much smoke/ fumes when engraving slate?

The laser cutter is in the bedroom at the moment and the window is a good distance away.

    Thanks, Philly

any reason why u cant just try it? you have the machine there, just whack a scrap bit or send the laser to a bit you know will be scrap and try it, i imagine u wont have to run it long to find out
