Thread: Greetings from Cornwall
I've been machining since probably the late 1980s when I completed my City and Guilds. Naturally I started out conventional machining but as time progressed companies I worked for purchased more and more CNC.
I consider myself a a good "old school" machinist and a pretty good CNC machinist. Programming slows me down, I am not a natural at it. Seems most places I have worked at have their own "programmer" anyway.
Ran and setup many machines from Okuma horizontals to various VMCs and turning machines.
Anyway, just thought I would say "Hello" from wet Cornwall and hope to be a regular here.
ha! yea... back in the day when dro's where cutting edge and well posh :)

Welcome to the forums, I have never used one in my life, but may be doing some stuff on one soon..
