I have just bought a Heng Long Bulldog tank 1/16th and was wondering if anyone had made treads or parts for this scale of tank? If so could you give me some tips on the process? I was thinking of some ally t-bar as a base block.

Sounds an ideal candidate for lost wax casting IMHO.

i looked at making tracks for the king tiger in 1/16th, the link pin hole was the hard bit. Are you going further, making panels and running gear.

I had thought of low heat metal casting puter etc but without rubber cleats they would were out fast..

Yeah I think they will be hard to CNC , casting is much better Idea, perhaps a 2 part mold, like I said using low heat metals. Not sure about the running gear etc that looks like it could be complicated.. need some time to look at it.

Hmmm, there are times when one of these could come in useful.... What calibre, range, and accuracy does the main gun have?

I reckon you could hit a Cats third eye at about 50 ft quite accuratley , they quote 75ft and i shot my self in the leg from about 20 ft and it bloody stung, calibre .. BB size I reckon about a .177 without the wieght , of course thats not to say a bit of DIY on the gun and steel BB's would'nt make it sting even more lol, I'm working fixing a 1g nano cam on the barrel for bore sighting with my FPV set up, .Though of course you could use a laser sight, but fall off is rapid after about 50 feet

this is the bumf on mine

Sadly not big enough for what I had in mind... and by the sound of things they use non-explosive shells....
