Hi, I am kind of new to forums, tend to read them and lurk, not quite knowing whether to register and start posting or just carry on hiding behind the sofa.

Well I've moved from behind the sofa to the keyboard.

I am currently in the process of moving to France, so I may go quiet for a bit.

I've recently started to restore old machine tools my first project is an old Hardinge HC chucking lathe, which is starting look like it could well be from the 1930's, when I get confirmation of the serial number I'll know for sure.

CNC wise, for me it's always been for production and manufacturing, however I am seriously thinking about getting a Deckel CNC mill maybe a FP3A or similar.

My other Lathe is a 1966 Harrison L6 with 24" between the centres, I've just sold my Astra Milling machine, so I am milless at the moment, although I do have my eye on a very nice Aciera F3, which I am trying to convince my wife to let me get before we move.

Well I think that'll do for now, I look forward to posting on the forum.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Welcome to MYCNCUK Chris.

Worked a deckel once for a month or two decent little machines.
