Hello CNCers!
I am an aircraft engineering student, as of yet to gain any machining expereince. In joining this forum, I hope to find the information I need to build a mini cnc machine for my hobbies, and then pass on my experience.
I have seen projects (without instructions) using Dremel-type tools mounted on a frame with motors, and it is something i would find VERY useful in my flight-sim building and model making. I do have a little experience in CAD (not a lot) but will be doing a course in it this coming semester.

Welcome to the forum. My first cnc machine used a Dremel - just to see if I wanted to make something properly or if it was a passing interest. I used it to cut balsa and liteply and it worked well enough. But it was slow, and noisy, and it couldn't cut anything else. That's where it all started . . . .
As this is an intro thread I'll not go on - when you're ready just post the type of machine you want to build into a new thread and and you'll have lots of guidance to get you there. Do browse the build logs, if you haven't already, and see if there is anything similar in there.
