Hi all newbie from reading and new to cnc I'm a chippy by trade and me and the missis make various wood craft items in our spare time to make a bit of money on the side we have often thought about buying a cnc machine but its the software and electronic side of things that scare us as we don't have the slightest clue.
Personally I think I could build one with no problems to save a bit of money I've been looking and been inspired by many of the fantastic home builds on here again it's just the program in side of things.
Is there any guys on here that have taught them selfs to use these machines and software?
can anyone recommend cad and cam software to buy to practice using?
Any help wood be much appreciated

Hi, wellcome to the forum. Yes many members have built some fantastic machines and most of them are self-taught with regards to the machine control, cad cam and electronics - with a little? bit of help from above!!! G.
