Hi, I have a request for 100 gaskets to be cut from gasket paper no more than 0.5mm thick.
I have not created a drawing yet, but to give you an idea: It will be oval shaped approx 50mm x 35mm, 25mm hole in centre, with a 6mm hole either side of the centre hole. I hope this makes sense. I thought this might be ideal for someone with a homemade router etc.....
I must stress that this needs to be cheap and more similar work will follow.

I don't know if "milling" gasket paper is possible? I guess the paper would have to be placed on a vacuum table or firmly fixed with masking tape which may damage the paper when removed. As far as I know, gaskets are normally cut with a press tool, which could be made on a CNC milling machine. Perhaps someone here has some kind of CNC shears or scissors? Or maybe a laser cutter?

I'm afraid that I cannot offer a solution, but it will be interesting to see what other members suggest...

Laser it. The world is full of people with 40W - 80W desktop lasers looking for something to do.

mmmm...... What about a mill with a drag knife or maybe a vinyl plotter. Dont know how deep the latter would cut or if it would need a backing sheet.

It would be singed, but you could get your gaskets without the expense of having a die made.
