Guys I have a 2005 ballnut that i did the proverbial ball dropping trick months ago. I've just gone to put it back together to find that i still have all the balls, problem is one of the orange direction changing plugs is missing? I don't know how as i have not touched it. Can't find it anywhere. Does anybody have spare one going cheap from an old one they can sell me? i don't want to have to buy another nut for the sake of a plug

    Cheers

    Paul

I think you'll be lucky to find one, unless someone has an empty 2005 nut.

They're a tricky shape, but all the plastic bit does is guide the bearings from one channel, over one to the next... so it shouldn't be that difficult to make something that works. Would be interesting to try it, but probably best to just buy one.

The plastic bits are different sizes, since the channels they interact with are different dimensions...so assorted empty nuts are much help here. I've not got any 2005 nuts since it's rarely the best size screw to use.
