    Hi all..

Been a while since I was on this forum, have now moved into a council property, with no garage..! I have tried to build a wall mounted cnc but just cant get round the noise problem... So have decided to scale down to a small desktop cnc (400mm x 400mm). I could start chopping up my rails and ballscrews, but seems the wrong way to go about this...
    I will compile a list of the stuff I have in more detail but roughly it is as follows;

    2 x 2mt 20mm supported rail + 4 bearing blocks
    2 x 1.4mt supported rail + 4 bearing blocks
2 x 25mm ballscrews (machined to fit nema 34 mounts)
    2 x 25mm ballnuts
1 x 16mm ballscrew (machined to fit nema 23 mount)
    1 x 16mm ballnut
    2 x nema 34 mounts
    2 x nema 34 motors (4 wire 6N motors)
70v PSU and two drivers for the nema 34's..

I will get specs and serial numbers etc later today or tomorrow...
As I mentioned, I am scaling down so these will be up for sale or swap..

Any more info needed, just ask!

    Steve...

    Steve...
Am interested in the above, is the 1.4mt rail 20mm as well. What pitch is the 16mm screw and length and what drivers do you have.

    Cheers Dean

Bit bigger than I need but would have bought the job lot to save pissing about if it had been a tad smaller.

    Hi Steve,

Might be interested in the NEMA 34 stuff if you can get some specs/details on the motors/drivers etc.

**EDIT** How long are the 25mm screws?

    Cheers

    Hi all again..

Wow, did not expect such an enthusiastic response..
I have my hands full with kids today, will supply all specs by tomorrow morning for you all.. Have had several messages asking me for a price for the lot, I will also work this out for you all too..
If any of you are up-sizing, I will be interested in a swap for a smaller machine/or parts...

25mm ballscrews are 2mts usable thread + machined ends (10mm pitch)
16mm ballscrew is 1.4mts usable thread + machined ends.. (10mm pitch)

I have not included all the z axis bits yet so the list is quite incomplete, really need an hour or two to catalogue what I have, and the kids are not giving time to draw breath today..!

Bear with me until tomorrow and I will have all info on everything...

Phew... That's just about it... I did not include the two nema 23 (3NM) motors or mounts as I am thinking of using them for my smaller cnc, but if you insist, then I will sell them too to make the package complete.
Also not listed here is the price I paid for machining the ends of the ballscrews (£320).

There are also 2 x PM752 drivers for the NEMA 34 motors. These seem to be discontinued on the Zapp site now but I did find the data sheet for them http://www.zappautomation.co.uk/down...vers/PM752.pdf
These cost me about £70 each, but am still trying to find the invoice for them..

This equipment has had about a years very light use, mainly engraving wooden boxes.. I have only used my router for wood and it has had only light engraving loads. I have cleaned everything, including dismantling the ballnuts and reloading them with new ball bearings.

A couple of you have asked me if I still have the gantries and z axis assembly. Unfortunately, I dont think that what I have will be of any use to you as I had to make a 12" high gantry to accommodate pre assembled boxes (which I engraved) for a customer. This meant the gantry was way too high to be rigid enough for 'proper' routing and was only capable of light loads. I was my intention to lower the gantry with a new design which meant mounting the rails (X) onto a hefty pair of RSJ's.
If anyone is interested, I still have these RSJ's (cost me £100 for the pair), they are 157mm square and just shy of 2 meters long. They have been drilled to take the supported rails on one side, and have 6 x 1/2" mounting holes on the other side. They are extremely strong and rigid and I reckon they will make very good mounting rails for the X axis. Will supply photos on request.

Whole lot cost me around £2700 inc vat...
Make me an offer for the lot, or will split if no takers for the whole package..
    Any questions, just ask...

    Steve
