    hello , have a isel fb2 machine

now stock they come with a 800watt spindle -cress.

do I fit a 0.8kw chinese liquid cooled spindle, and run the vfd

    should I get a 1.5 or a 2.2

I'm not too sure If I'm right here, but the 800w spindle on that machine could be an Ac 230v motor. So it'll have lots of torque nearly all the time. The Chinese spindles are just big brush less motors so they're fast but not too torquey. I have a 1.5kw so I advise you to get the 2.2kw version, if you want to machine metals.

    What model FB2 ?
I have the earlier small version 300mm x 300mm and use the 0.8Kw air cooled spindle on it.
Anything bigger in my case would be over kill on a machine this size.

    i have this one.
    the quandry is
    1. do I stick on a noisey 240v router
    2. do I stick on a quiet .8kw brushless -water cooled. - 65mm diameter
    3. if I am buying a vfd, should I get a er11 1.5kw spindle - thats 80mm
    4. If I am getting a 80mm spindle should I get the 2.2kw and th 20mm chuck.

will the z axis witha 16mm ball screw at 5mm pitch, lift it - saying that it had a 4 head injection system on it!!!
    plus

    doesn't look too large?
